The Bridge Ministry

"Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens and I will give you rest."

Mt. 11:28

The mission of The Bridge Ministry is to provide a welcoming atmosphere for all Catholic Christians to come and rest in the presence of God. It is a gathering of people who are striving to live out Jesus' command to love one another as He has loved us.

We can only love because He first loved us. It is through our prayer and the love of our brothers and sisters that we are filled with His love for us and then able to love one another as He commands.

We have each been created uniquely and communicate with God in unique ways. Some of us hear the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit through silence, some through Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, some through the formal prayers of our Church and some through contemporary praise and worship music.  All of these forms of prayer are available to us through The Bridge Ministry as well as teaching presentations from the Ordained and witness sharing from other members of our community.

The Bridge Ministry gathers monthly on a Friday evening at 6:45 p.m. (watch your bulletin for upcoming dates). Please take advantage of this opportunity to leave the busyness of the world behind and come rest with us in the presence of God.

"I also wish thee to look at the Bridge of My only-begotten Son, and see the greatness thereof, for it reaches from Heaven to earth; that is, that the earth of your humanity is joined to the greatness of the Deity thereby. I say, then, that this Bridge reaches from Heaven to earth, and constitutes the union which I have made with man . . . So the height of the Divinity, humbled to the earth, and joined with your humanity, made the Bridge and reformed the road. Why was this done? In order that man might come to his true happiness with the angels. And observe that it is not enough, in order that you should have life, that My son should have made you this Bridge, unless you walk thereon."
St. Catherine of Siena: Dialogues.
