The Lord has sworn
and will not change his mind:
"You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek."
-Psalm 110:4, NIV
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate.

Questions
Where can I learn more about the Priesthood, and other Holy Orders?
For those merely curious, you can learn more in a course called Catholicism 201. This course teaches more about the sacraments and more about Catholic life in general.
For those who are interested in discerning the religous life, please contact the vocations director Fr. Roberto Donato of the Archdiocese of Halifax at 429-9800, ext. 318, by e-mail.
