FRATERNE’S BROTHERS ARE ARRIVING ~ Refugee Committee Update

We are delighted that Fraterne’s two brothers are scheduled to leave the refugee camp in Malawi on July 3! This is sooner than was anticipated and so we are asking for your generosity to help support Patrick & Fiacre settle in Canada. The Parish, as their sponsor, is committed to providing financial support (rent, food etc.) for their first year in Canada. Parishioner and altar server, Fraterne Niyomugabo, did a wonderful presentation last weekend at the three Masses . For those who missed the presentation, Fraterne and his two brothers survived the Rwandan Massacre, were separated from their parents, and lived in a refugee camp in Malawi since they were children. Almost three years ago, Fraterne was sponsored by a NGO to come to Dalhousie University. The Parish is sponsoring his brothers Patrick & Fiacre, and will be supporting them for their first year. There are extra envelopes available at the back of the church for those who missed last weekend.  Also, if you wish to obtain a copy of his presentation, please click on the attachment.
